About Risale-i Nur
The Risale-i Nur ("Epistles of Light") is a 6,000-page modern Quranic commentary written by Bediüzzaman Said Nursi in the 20th century. Rather than focusing on legal decrees or historical narratives, it serves as a rational and spiritual defense of faith (iman) tailored to an age of modern skepticism, science, and material philosophy.
Unlike traditional classic commentaries that explain the Quran verse-by-verse or focus primarily on legal decrees, the Risale-i Nur focuses on the theological and philosophical foundations of faith (iman). It was written specifically to address modern skepticism, materialism, and scientific atheism.
